Anatomy of an Athlete

The Anatomy of an Athlete exhibition is running at the Hunterian Museum in London until the 21st December 2012.

Working closely with the Medical Artists’ Association of Great Britain the Hunterian Museum has generated new artwork of elite athletic anatomy and physiology. The artists have used a range of different media and sporting disciplines to illustrate the important role  medicine and surgery play in sports and exercise.

Using watercolours, video’s and sculptures the world leading medical artists have covered a selection of sports and para-sports to allow a unique and enlightening experience.

You can also catch up on the latest techniques in Orthopaedic surgery, innovative developments in prosthetics and the importance of training to muscle development.

NCRI Cancer Conference

The NCRI Cancer Conference is on from the 4-7th of November in the BT Convention Centre, Liverpool, UK. With a list of guest speakers from the USA, Canada and the UK it will be a very interesting event. If you haven’t already booked your ticket it will be too late by now but there is always next year.

Bodies Revealed

If you are in or around Liverpool between now and 2nd of January 2013 then why not take a look at ‘Bodies revealed’ an amazing exhibition about the human body. Using liquid silicone rubber they permanently preserve the human body and organs so they can be displayed and studied.

With over 200 actual human bodies and specimens dissected and respectfully displayed this is an exhibition not to be missed for any medical student.
